Familiar Faces in Unfamiliar Places

Wow!  Has this been another crazy week. I am thinking that I was called to serve the crazy mission!! Ha ha, I would be lying though if I said that I didn't love the busyness.

I am halfway through the CCM (MTC) experience, and how is my Spanish? . . . . . . not bad! I still have a TON to learn about this language, about the culture, about everything! I can say though that I am able to have meaningful, simple conversations with people in Spanish, and I understand a lot more than what I can say. For example... there are a couple of employees here that I have found absolute joy when talking with. They are hilarious!! Jeison and Estaban are two of my favorite people here in the CCM. I am trying to get to know and build a relationship with lots of other workers here, but I mostly only know their names!

There were some other familiar names that I found this week in the CCM! Elder Hill made his CCM debut, and the CCM gained another representative from B-Ville! (Bonneville High School)  I have seen another familiar face for all you old soccer players. Elder Obray popped up and what a joyful reunion it was with him! It was nostalgic thinking about all the years we played soccer together! It is crazy that even here all the way in mexico city, the world feels small!!

Not everything is happy happy joy joy. We had some sad moments this week in the CCM too. Our District is one less Elder now, because Elder Barfuss has returned home to get foot reconstruction surgery.  Because of this, his companion has had to mesh to a 3-way companionship, but it has also meant that me and Elder Cutler have had to move rooms. I was not happy about that change originally, but I know that good things will come from this change. One more change that might brighten up this paragraph though is that our district leader Elder Vickers and his companion were called to be our Zone Leaders!  How awesome that we have such faithful elders in our district! Now Elder Cutler, my companion has been called to be our new District Leader! We have a few more responsibilities, but more than anything we just need to exemplify what effective companionship is like.

Class Time... Post It Apocalypse

I love this language! I love these people! I love my companion! I love my district! I love the CCM! . . . . BUT. . . .most importantly, I love GOD!   "The first great commandment is that you love God with all your heart, might, mind, and strength. BUT, the first great truth is that God loves us with all his heart, might, mind, and strength!" -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

God loves you All! Have Faith that He has a plan for you! You are His Child!
