The Circle of Sickness
Alright.....in 2 days there are a few milestones! In 2 days, I will have been out on my mission for one entire month!! ANNND in 2 days I will only have 10 days (two hands worth of fingers) left in the CCM! Things are really starting to begin and now they are just ending.
Other things have started and finished for our entire district! I took the liberty of creating a chart to illustrate how the sickness in our district has spread. Most everyone that wasn't sick last week has been sick this week. And most people that were sick last week have been healthy this week! Kind of funny to think about how to build our unity as a district we all got sick together! (;
I got a wonderful package this week filled with wonderful things! (thank you mom! you are the best) It was great to receive and really boosted my spirits in the middle of our week! I don't know what it is, but chocolate kisses have never tasted so good to me until arriving here in the CCM! haha, I think you all get the picture.
Another thing that has just been so awesome ever since we have arrived in the CCM is volleyball! We play beach so we can take off our shoes and enjoy hits with other missionaries. As you can see, the Elders of our district are pretty serious about our volleyball playing (for some reason, this picture never came through) We usually are the people that grab the ball, and break up the court before the daily fluctuation of players. I really enjoy the movement, and also being barefoot. It's basically two of my favorite things in one place!
Two people going to one place! ----- I found Elder Weber this week during volleyball actually! He is the only other missionary in the entire CCM that I have met that is going to the DC mission field! It felt good to not be the only proud rep. of THE BEST MISSION!! It'd be interesting to see if we crossed paths in the future....Stay tuned!
I also found Elder Jefferies, who is my old Missionary Farewell amigo. Whenever I would go to farewells back home, I would always find him there. Different now that we are both on our missions. It was awesome to be able to talk and welcome him to such a beautiful MTC.
Our district also had the wonderful opportunity to go to the temple again. We have been so blessed to visit that beautiful place twice now! From being a temple worker and going to the temple every day...to now.....My advice would be to never take for granted the gift and blessing of temples. They are peaceful houses of the Lord that bring us so close to Him. He loves you all, and my wish and prayer is that you all choose to follow Him. Enter His house. And endure until the end. Believing on His name, and in His power!
